Economics Athletes, founded in 2018 by Mickey Ferri, Ph.D., aims to enhance the lives of athletes by integrating economics, data, and scientific principles into sports performance. The organization believes that advanced knowledge and resources, typically used by professional sports teams, should be accessible and affordable for athletes of all levels, from youth to senior. They achieve this by partnering with local educational and sports institutions to host events, produce content, and deliver coaching and mentorship. Their services focus on improving speed, power, health, energy, focus, reducing stress and pain, managing time and money, balancing athletics with life, and ultimately enabling athletes to perform at a higher potential. The founder, Dr. Ferri, brings a unique background as a lifelong athlete with a Ph.D. in Economics and extensive experience in coaching, competing, and consulting for professional sports organizations.
